Should have taken up cycling like my friend humpo but I got into Cigars and am on my way to becoming a Aficionado. There is something about the comraderie of lighting up a great smoke with good friends and taking it all in. I don't think it is the actual smoking but the process and the billow of smoke rising up above you as you exhale and puff the stogie.
Bummed about hearing about Cronkite - the guy is/was and always will be a legend and Rather could never compare. Lots of great tributes going on but with all the covertgirl/male model types it might be a while until we see another of his level. Maybe never given that news and media in general is so 24/7 and it seems more important to get the scoop on whatever Brangelina has to say that the art of a true newsman might be dead forever. My brother and I were discussing that recently and wondering what will happen to the news media industry as it is taking huge hits and changing quite a bti now and for the foreseeable future. I think Tim Russert was of similar cloth - when Russert died I thought I lost my dog or my left arm. He was part of my Sunday ritual of great coffee and catching up on Politics and the latest news. Hmm.... who can you trust now?
